Memory and Loss

I have just finished reading Sam Savage's Firmin, which I loved. Parts of the book strongly remind me of this episode from the 1977 animated movie Allegro non troppo by Bruno Bozzetto, a sort of Italian Fantasia. This visual accompaniment to Sibelius' Valse triste is beautiful, but so sad that after the first viewing my children never wanted to watch it again..

  1. Hi Laura, I also read the Firmim and enjoyed it. I had time to laugh and moments whom I wanted to cry. Very good relationship with the video, but it is really sad.
